Anna Rebek
Stage Director
Anna Rebek is a Mexican/Hungarian American director of theatre and opera currently living in NYC. Anna studied directing at Columbia University’s MFA program with Anne Bogart, and she has been awarded the Ellen and James S. Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts opera directing fellowship for the past two years at Juilliard. This year she was also an assistant faculty member in the Vocal Arts department, and has continued her study of opera staging and movement with renowned teacher Stephen Wadsworth. Anna most enjoys being able to bring peak performances out of actors and singers at all levels of training, and diving deeply into the relationships between characters in an ensemble.
Anna is very excited to bring her joyful and inventive approach to the staging of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro this summer in the Prague Summer Nights program.
