As concertmaster and conductor, Cuba-born Andrés Cárdenes ably led the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for more than two decades. Director of Orchestral Studies at Carnegie Mellon University, this summer, maestro Cárdenes will lead concerts with the Prague Summer Nights Festival Orchestra, coach PSN’s chamber music ensembles and deliver masterclasses for both string and conducting students.
